I'm home. Back where white blankets the tops of the mountains and the plethora of sheep make disturbing hacking sounds periodically throughout the day and night. Back to a place that I loved once and will love again. Back to Kyrgyzstan.

post IST

It was great to see all the other K-12's at IST. Kinda like therapy and when I say "kinda like therapy" I'm speaking the truth, at least for me. The two are very okshosh (or 'ok, wow'). We've had I think seven COS early, so they didn't get to experience the wonders of the Kyrgyz Summer. I hear it's hot as hell in Osh & Jalalabad in July and August, but it's nice on the `Kul. I just hope it doesn't get super hot up here in August. It was really good to see everyone, hear their frustrations and give the Kyrgyz a rest for a little while. I think when you're in another country your brain works harder at interpreting (or trying to interpret) everything. Poor little mouse. He must be pooped! The people combined with the good food (I barely had a potato in Bishkek! Can you believe it?) made for a thoroughly enjoyable experience. My only regret is that MST (mid-service training) is next January, and with our luck we'll get it moved back three months like IST.
