Story Time!
Last night all us volunteers went to The Metro which is a really nice restaurant in the heart of Bishkek. I got the grilled trout and it was the best damn thing I have had in Kyrgyzstan yet! Salivation Station! It was 180 som (oto kumbat eken!) but it was worth it! To give you an idea of how much that is a gamburger (like a hamburger but with a g and un-disgusting meat like they have in the states aka: not that disgusting) is 15 som and we're in Bishkek. Things are more expensive in big cities. After dinner half the people went to a bar and half of the people went back to the hotel and I wanted to go to the bar but I was with (unbeknownst to me) the group going to the hotel. The others were allus away and were walking so I ran after them and lost them. Perhaps the consumtion of alcahol (arak ichem) had something to do with that. So I didn't know where the bar was and had a faint idea of what it was called. So I took a cab around for about half an hour and told him what I thought the name of the bar was which he didn't know. Throughout our drive we stopped to pick up some nice Bishkek whores but I said I wouldn't have any part in it. We finally found the bar on a stroke of sheer luck because I saw my friends drinking. The bar didn't have the name that I thought, it had a completely different one, and my friend informed me later that the name i thought it was was actually what Americans called it. I wasn't aware there was a difference. A story to tell the grandkids.

As promised....
Mr. X thinks Taylor is just grand! (and the cutest guy in Kyrgyzstan).
Mr. X recommends watching Mean Girls. Despite Lindsay Lohan being the *star*, it's a pretty witty giddy movie.

Hi kyrgyzkishi
Look, I hope you don't mind, but I found your blog using kitchen utensils as a search term. I'm trying to find original articles and recipes for my cooking websites.
I can and do use the article directories, but much of the stuff in them is hardly original and gets widely used. I'm hoping to persuade people like you, who have an interest in cooking, to contribute as well. I use a wide variety of articles and styles - just so long as it's food orientated - and I think the kind of things you write about in Story Time! would be very popular :0)
The quid pro quo is a link back to your blog - or website if you have one. If this doesn't interest you, please forgive the intrusion. If it does, I look forward to hearing from you.
Best wishes
Michael Sheridan

Hi kyrgyzkishi
I never realised that so many different types of blog would show up if I did a search on something like cooking course. I'm still not sure how well Story Time! fits into that category, but I've enjoyed visiting :0) Adios Amigo.
