to people sending me stuff...

when sending me something, be it a kitten (hopefully not black, they don't like black kittens over here) or a full-size replica of Napoleon's peeing dog fountains, please don't wrap it in plastic! Paper is a.o.k. but plastic is a no-no over here.

In kitchine towns like Darkan, there are no garbage men. what do we do with our trash then? well, in the case of cardboard boxes (or pasilkas), bags, and other paperful products, my eje burns them. in fact she LIKES to burn them. Her face lights up when I bring in a used cardboard (also combustable) box full of paper-like trash. in the case of plastics and other non disposables, like the billions of little Kato Kalen dolls somebody sent me, we hafta put em down the toilet, where my little flashlight is. I really don't want to make my family dig another outhouse!

So pack your toys in paper!
When you send them to me think,
'Did i just pack in paper?
Or was it a kitchen sink?'
