I'm home. Back where white blankets the tops of the mountains and the plethora of sheep make disturbing hacking sounds periodically throughout the day and night. Back to a place that I loved once and will love again. Back to Kyrgyzstan.

when all is said and done...

Much like a giro is wrapped in its tortilla or a scrumdiddilyumptious nori maki wrapped in its paper-thin seaweed, things are getting wrapped up over here in Kyrgyzstan. I now, I can happily say, have my visa, which I have been without since March 7th, and my ticket home. I will be flying from the vacant skies over Kyrgyzstan to the conjested skies over New York via a Boeing 777 and 757 under the control of British Airways hopefully trustworthy (and not tipsy) pilots. We will stop to rest, recuperate and refuel in London for a five-hour (not too long and not too short) layover and then continue across the Atlantic to New York. I will leave this place that has become home to me early in the morning of July the 3rd and arrive in the bustling metropolis of New York at 7:35 in the afternoon on the same day. It may not seem like that long, but the sun and father time himself will remain my constant companions on my journey as they traverse the earth with me. I will be back in the states in enough time to see the brillance of the fireworks and take part in the long awaited reunion of my family!
