I'm home. Back where white blankets the tops of the mountains and the plethora of sheep make disturbing hacking sounds periodically throughout the day and night. Back to a place that I loved once and will love again. Back to Kyrgyzstan.

To Darkan Once Again!

This weekend I am going to Darkan to reunite with my family. Temirlan is travelling from Ivanovka, where he is working as a PST LCF (Pre-Service Training Language and Cross-Cultural Facilitator; the Peace Corps loves its abbreviations!) to Darkan this weekend and I am seizing this oppertunity to go with him. I hear from Temirlan that the family environment has changed in Darkan while I've been gone. Kanat and Anak Eje are both living, going to school and working in Karakol now. But, to take their place in my old home are two new arrivals! Temirlan, while I've been gone, has had two sons with his wife, Gulzat. The only steady stone in the Darkan house is the always faithful Chong Ene whom I am very much looking forward to seeing!
