Jimmy & The Goldfish -- part 1
People in America demand a lot. Whenever I talk to someone over in America they say they want me to put more stuff on my blog. Blog stuff seems to be like a drug. Like chocolate or heroin or Carolina Cookie Company cookies. SIDE NOTE: Mom & Dad: send more. Put them in my veins!
I have nothing to write about except the same old struggles I’ve bitched about for a year on this blog. I’m running out of stuff to talk about. So in the interest of America’s ADHDness, I will make up a story for you. Would you like that? Here it goes….
Little Billy was tired on Sunday morning. He rubbed his sleepy eyes to the smell of bacon and eggs. Mmmmmm…. Bacon and Eggs, Jimmy thought. How Jimmy would like some bacon and eggs. So Jimmy got out of bed and made a big stretch. That was when he noticed that his room had changed overnight. How did it do that? Jimmy thought. All the walls we covered with fuzz and in the middle of his room was a gigantic round goldfish bowl with a gigantic goldfish in it. Jimmy looked at it in surprise. He leaned over the edge of the goldfish bowl, which was almost as tall as he was, to look at the abnormally large goldfish. The goldfish came up to look at him too and as they were looking into each other’s eyes the goldfish winked at Jimmy! At least that’s what Jimmy thought the goldfish did. Jimmy rubbed his eyes. Yep, the same freakishly large goldfish was there. And then Jimmy began to think. Just last week in Biology class the teacher said that goldfish don’t have any eyelids and, therefore, can’t blink. Jimmy looked at the goldfish in awe and the goldfish looked at Jimmy in awe. Then Jimmy tried something daring: Jimmy reached into the water (which was curiously warm) and picked up the abnormally large goldfish. The goldfish didn’t swim to the bottom of the bowl as any normal goldfish would do, most goldfish are frightened of people and cats, but this goldfish let Jimmy pick it up. When Jimmy had the goldfish out of the water (water was drip, drip, dripping on his pajama bottoms) Jimmy noticed there was something not normal about this goldfish besides that it was bigger than a breadbox and it blinked (which goldfish simply don’t do) but he simply couldn’t place what was so freakish about this particular goldfish. He turned the goldfish over and over, which it didn’t mind at all, with a puzzled look on his face. He inspected its pectoral fin and its sublateral abdominal fin. He looked in its mouth and gills. Nothing weird there. He picked up its right dorsal fin and then it’s left. Aha! Underneath of the goldfish’s left dorsal fin was a little hole with something barbaric looking scratched into the scales above it. Jimmy looked closer to see what it said. He had trouble reading it but he was sure that it said in all capital letters: FUZZ. Fuzz? Jimmy thought. What could this goldfish have to do with fuzz? He held the freakishly large goldfish until the bottom of his pajamas were sopping wet from the water dripping from its floppy tail with a concerned look on his face until he had an Aha moment. His eyes opened wide when he remembered the walls. The Walls! Remember? There was a lot of strange fuzz on them. Jimmy ran over to one wall still holding the dripping goldfish and pulled off some of the kushy soft fuzz. This feels nice Jimmy thought as he crammed the fuzz into the little hole. And then something very strange happened. The goldfish started having spasms and changing colors! The goldfish grew more freakishly large than before, its eyes rolled back in its head and turned red and it started making sounds like nose-blowing. Jimmy was a little scared. The whole room turned very bright and Jimmy stared in awe as the goldfish changed into a….
Do you know what the goldfish changes into? What do you think? I don’t even know! We’ll have to wait until next week to find out! Until then, tell me what you want the goldfish to turn into! It’ll be interesting to see how this turns out!

Well, if I know you well Taylor, and I do, I would say you would have the goldfish turn into one hot mama equipped with leather clothing and thigh-high boots, or something crazy like that. Hmm.. I suppose the goldfish could turn into bacon and eggs like what Jimmy (aka Billy! you changed his name so quick!) originally woke up for.. but that would end the story, and is rather boring. I like mom's idea a lot! America is lacking without you!! (and lacking in general, but we have it pretty good i guess...that's besides the point though...) anyways, we miss ya, that's for certain. can't wait for more stories, as usual!
hope all is well with you and your students! <3 kate

Hi kyrgyzkishi
After reading a good blog I tend to analyze it to see what the person behind it might be like.
I've been in the goal setting business a while now and just like most people with experience in different areas of expertise, I can tell a lot about a person just by speaking to them or reading something they've written.
You haven't wrtten any goals on paper for awhile have you? And if you have I'll bet you haven't looked at them for a long time. Right?
Goal setting is hard work, and harder still if you don't have short range goals, mid range goals and long range goals.
I think you'll agree that few people really take the time to set goals of any kind.
When is the last time you really thought about setting some real goals, or are you like the vast majority of people who just "hope for the best"?
You already know successful people aren't "just lucky", they know how to set effective goals and reach them.
I was like that once, you might be also.
How about changing all that.
Come on over to goals+ and learn exactly how to set effective goals, act on them and be the real you.
There's a ton of FREE information and who knows, this little insert in your blog might well change your life!
Happy New Year!

HELLO kyrgyzkishi
I was going to leave a little tip on New Years Resolutions and how to make the best of them.
Unfortunately, I would not be able to keep it brief.
Goal setting takes effort and you really have to know how to do it to do it well. Especially the follow-up.
That's why I've included a lot of FREE goal setting information on my website, to help folks like you be more successful.
In fact, you can start now, and get a head start on the new year - and the rest of your life.
Think goal setting isn't important?
Spend a little time at Developing Goals and you'll change your mind.
Have a GREAT day!
